40 pianos on the floor here in Colleyville, $949 to $78,295.
We are not near Colleyville — the showroom is in it. Everything on the floor is tuned, set up and open to sit down at, and every instrument carries its price rather than an invitation to ask.

Colleyville
A piano is not bought in one visit. Most families who end up with one from this floor came three or four times: once to work out what the words mean, once with the person who will actually practise on it, and once more to sit with the two instruments that made the shortlist. That is the practical argument for buying from a showroom in your own town rather than from a warehouse an hour down the tollway — coming back costs you ten minutes instead of an afternoon, so you take the time the decision deserves.
We opened here in April 2026, so we will not tell you we have been on this road for decades. What we can tell you is exactly what is in the room: 13 grands (8 of them baby grands), 14 uprights, 11 digitals and 2 hybrids, of which 6 instruments are certified pre-owned. Every one of them is tuned, regulated and open to play, and every one carries a price.
Those prices sit on the page for a reason. Piano retail has a long habit of hiding them — you ask, somebody asks what your budget is, and the number that comes back is a function of your answer. Ours do not work that way. Today the floor starts at $949 with the Kawai ES120 Portable Digital Piano and reaches $78,295 at the Kawai SK-2 Shigeru Kawai Grand Piano; everything between the two is listed with its own figure. If you would rather understand the shape of the market before you drive anywhere, our piano price guide is the honest version, and Kawai versus Yamaha answers the comparison people usually arrive holding.
Being the local shop also means the relationship does not end at the loading dock. An acoustic piano is a wooden object living in a Texas house: it moves with the seasons, and the first tuning is deliberately done a few weeks after delivery rather than on the day, once it has decided what your humidity is doing. If you already own an instrument, ask about it — we buy pianos outright and take them in part exchange, and that page explains what we need to see before we can say a number.
Colleyville and Grapevine share a school district, and a good share of the people who walk in are two lessons into a child's first year and trying to work out whether a digital will do. Sometimes it will. Our digital-versus-acoustic guide sets out where the line actually falls, and what a beginner genuinely needs covers the rest. Neither of them ends with “so buy the expensive one”.
Getting here from Colleyville
If you live in Colleyville, the directions are short: you are already in the right town. The address, telephone number and hours beside this come straight from our own records rather than being typed into the page, so they match what the footer, the map listing and this page's structured data all say. Southlake, Grapevine and Keller buyers are ten to fifteen minutes away depending on which side of town they start from.
There is no appointment system and nobody here works on commission. Because you live nearby, use that: drop in on a quiet weekday, then come back on a Saturday when the floor is busy and the room sounds different. Pianos flatter you on a first hearing. The one you still like on the third visit is the one to buy, and there is no version of that process that works over a phone.
If you are trading something in, photograph it before you come — the whole instrument, the keyboard with the fallboard up, and the serial number, which is usually stamped into the plate just behind the tuning pins. Those three pictures are enough for us to say something useful instead of something vague. Everything else is explained on the page about buying pianos back.
Colleyville, TX
Yes — North Texas Piano Gallery is in Colleyville, not near it. We opened here in April 2026, and the showroom currently holds 40 pianos you can sit down and play, from Kawai, Yamaha and Baldwin. The address, telephone number and opening hours are printed further down this page and come straight from our own records, so they will not disagree with what you find elsewhere.
No. Walk in during opening hours, sit at anything on the floor and stay as long as you like — nobody will follow you around the room, and nobody here works on commission. If you want a particular finish pulled forward or an instrument brought out of the back, a call ahead saves you the wait. Otherwise just come.
Today the floor runs $949 to $78,295. Every instrument carries its price on its own page — we do not quote on request, and the figure you see is the figure you pay, with delivery and the first tuning included. Our piano price guide explains what each band of that range actually buys, which is a more useful thing to read before you visit than any brochure.
Often, yes. We buy instruments outright and take them in trade against something on the floor. What an old piano is worth depends on the maker, the age, the state of the soundboard and how much life is left in the action — not on what it cost new — so an honest answer needs photographs and a serial number rather than a guess over the phone. Start on our we-buy-pianos page and send those two things.
We are an authorized Kawai dealer, which is why 36 of the 40 instruments on the floor are Kawai — new grands, uprights, digitals and hybrids from that line. The rest is pre-owned stock from other makers: right now Yamaha and Baldwin. Pre-owned turns over faster than new, so what is listed on this site is genuinely what is here.
The showroom is here, in Colleyville. Every piano in it is tuned, priced and open to sit at — no appointment, no commission, and no number that changes depending on who is asking.
